Hello Nap Time is My Time readers!   I am Sarah from Total Basset Case and I am so happy to here today at Emily’s wonderful blog!   At my blog I write about a little bit of everything!  I love to share easy DIY projects,  recipes and many stories about our crazy basset hound,  Floyd.
Today I have an easy,  quick and fun DIY fall wreath project to share with you!  I am in the habit of making these wreaths for the different seasons because they are so quick and versatile.
The wreaths only take a few supplies:
-Wooden/twig wreath (I used 24″)
-Floral stems/bunches/swags
-Hot glue and gun and/or floral wire
(I got all of my supplies at Michaels, JoAnn’s Old Time Pottery-all with coupons of course.)
I have found that it is easiest/cheapest to buy a large bunch of floral stems or a swag and take them apart.  The bunches are so full and come with so many flowers on them, you can really get a lot of use out of just one bunch.
To get started I tear apart the bunches and swags and just start placing them around the wreath.  I step back every few minutes and fill in the empty spots.  I really like to use the twig wreaths because they provide their own fillers.  Sometimes I don’t cover the entire wreath and it’s nice to have totally empty spots because of the twigs.
As soon as I get the floral pieces, stems and branches set how I want them,  I simply hot glue them into place.  It is that easy!   The pieces can also be set with floral wire.  If you wanted to use the same wreath for each season,  floral wire would be the way to go (so the pieces could easily be removed).
I love how versatile and custom these wreaths can be.   They are so simple to make for the different seasons of the year.
They also make great gifts!
Of course my faithful sidekick is never too far behind.
Thank you,  Emily for having me over today! Come visit Floyd and I over at Total Basset Case and on Twitter.  We love new friends!

Awesome job, Sarah!    Thanks so much for this wonderful tutorial.  I’m going to {try} to make one soon.
