When I think about food, my brain immediately searches through the sweet, the savory, and everything in between. Food is a major player in our lives. Not only do we need it to survive, it’s often the focal point for many wonderful memories, just like the summer!
In the summer months, I crave fresh, simple foods. Like lobster and grilled fish. There’s a good chance that if I’m eating something it’s come off the grill and the side dish is corn on the cob. Nothing beats corn on the cob that’s been cooked over a charcoal grill. We throw them on, still in their husks, for about 15 minutes. Perfection. Absolute perfection.
This summer, we’ll be eating some of the best cole slaw ever and fresh vegetables from our neighbors garden.
You can’t be healthy all the time…and summer isn’t complete with out S’mores. I love them, no matter how messy they are!
What are some of your favorite foods?
