What about the landing? #NaBloPoMo

4 Flares 4 Flares ×

For the month of June, you read about the different types of jumps that I have taken. There was my jumping into parenting post, the one about how I jump into projects but don’t quite finish them {I hate this new quality about me. I’m working to correct it.}, and I wrote about not bungee jumping or (possibly)skydiving from a plane. But, I haven’t written about landing.

Finally, the day has come!

I feel that I have landed in a place that I am comfortable. I’m not talking about my geographic location, though Cape Cod is fabulous! I am talking about being comfortable within myself. With who I am. I have grown a lot in the last few years and have developed a true sense of who I am and what I’ll allow in my life. I no longer tolerate nonsense from “friends”, I speak my mind even more than I did before {watch out crappy restaurant servers!} and I am more confident.

I don’t compare what I “have” to what others have. It’s no longer about the fancy purse, the newest car, the biggest house. The competition is over. It’s all about being happy and loving what I have and who I am. Everything that I have is enough. It’s more than enough.

Have you landed in a place where you are comfortable with yourself?

What what NaBloPoMo is all about? NaBloPoMo, created by the brilliant minds at BlogHer, is a month long blogging challenge to encourage you to write daily about a specific prompt. Today’s prompt was “Talk about this idea: it’s not the jump you have to worry about; it’s the landing.” Although sign ups to participate in this month’s Blog Roll have closed, the daily prompts are available here.

I just found that place earlier this year. I feel happy and stable. It’s wonderful!

  3. Patti Williams says:

I am working on speaking my mind more. I worry way too much about making someone else mad and unstated I get angry. I tend to internalize the anger then blow up over little things. Its an ongoing project but I am getting better.

I to have landed for now I am finally happy and healthy and am ok being me

  5. Megan Turner says:

I have finally come to the place that – you either take my family and house as it is or you do not have to come back and visit! I am much more at ease and still welcoming!
