Our Weekly Menu Plan: Lasagna and Pizza – again!

If you were to ask The Texan what he thinks of our menu plan, he’d tell you “It’s her menu plan, but it’s my cooking plan.” Last week, The Texan made dinner a few more times than he cared to and it showed last night. This week, I’m going to try to do a better job at planning AND cooking!

A few things we planned on eating last week didn’t get eaten because we loved the lasagna was too delicious not to eat right away, and because I fouled up Friday night’s homemade pizza dough and was forced to the store for “ready to cook crust”. The ready to cook crust encouraged us to have pizza last night too! Culinary disaster one night, means an easy meal for another!

Monday: Burritos or Tacos. We skipped this meal last week in favor of leftovers and the ground turkey is getting too close to it’s “best by” date!

Tuesday: Chicken Wings. I love chicken wings.

Wednesday: Chicken breast with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes.

Thursday: We’re supposed to get snow, so I’m going to bake bread and make Lasagna.

Friday: Homemade Pizza. Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day. But, we’ll be eating pizza.

Saturday: Leftover lasagna and pizza

I’ve decided to stop planning something for Sunday meals. It’s more fun to just wing it!

So, what’s cooking at your house this week?
