Before the craziness of the holiday season hits me like a ton of bricks, I am making some time to thank the staff at The Boy’s school for going the extra mile to ensure his Kindergarten year is amazing with a fun Work Day Emergency Kit full of Extra Gum !
Making the transition from a three-day pre-K program to a full week of Kindergarten is rough. The poor kid was having so much fun, but was very tired during the early weeks of school. Most days, he’d fall asleep in the car on our ride home from school. Some mornings, he wasn’t his typical friendly self; but the staff at his school was always there to greet him with a smile and make him laugh.
This holiday season, I’m making sure that they aren’t forgotten.
One thing I’ve learned about school staff, is that they can’t leave during the day to grab pain relivers, nail files, or other items they may need in an emergency. So, I’ve whipped up an extra special mason jar work day emergency kit that can be easily stored in drawer of their desks.
What You’ll Need
Small Bottle of Pain Reliever
Sample Size Perfume
Small Container of Hand Cream
Any other goodies that be needed during the day, like bobby pins, hair ties, or a sewing kit
What You’ll Do
Place items into mason jar, attach lid and ring.
Add a cute label and you’re done.
This simple gift is an affordable way to recognize the support staff at your child’s school. Extra Gum is available at many retailers in your neighborhood, I found mine near the checkout at my local Walgreen’s.
