For me, August signals that the summer is half way over. It seems the summer has again flown by so quickly. You can find plenty of things to do this weekend on Cape Cod, there is something fun for the whole family!

Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Eastham: Saint Aubin Nurseries is hosting a watermelon seed spitting contest. Join the contest fun from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm, free watermelon slices available all day.
Cape Wide Concerts: Many towns host concerts on the town green – or other town meeting spot. Contact the local Chamber of Commerce for more information.
Pirates and Mermaids Day, Osterville: This event is fun for the whole family! Kids aged 2 – 5 will enjoy a Teddy Bear Tea and older children will have fun participating in a model boat building workshop. Pre-registration is required, though all events are free. 508-428-5861
